“Heart at home” provides a Chinese platform for first generation Chinese-speaking-immigrants to participate; it also provides an English platform for people who speak English. People from any cultural backgrounds who are interested in learning Asian culture and making friends are welcome to become members.

Yuen (“緣”, destiny or fate), is a unique traditional philosophy that many Asian still believe in. When two strangers come from different worlds, via serendipity or some force which cannot be explained by modern science, meet and build a strong friendship, we say that it is their Yuen-Fen (緣份, destiny to meet). After getting acquainted with each other, they develop a romance, follow by marriage. We call this happy development Yin-Yuen (姻緣, destiny to be married). After marriage, they build a family, raise their children, and be each other’s company to old age; we call it very good Yin-Yuen (好姻緣, destiny to long and happy marriage.) When they lead a fulfilling life, we say that their lives are Yuen-Man (圓滿, meaning good and satisfactory).

This desire of meeting and sharing a good life with one compatible spouse in a lifetime is a good demonstration of Yuen-Man in the Asian people; it is also what many Westerners are seeking. Unfortunately in these modern times, our daily lives are driven by many demands and our relationship with others are cut short in time and depth, making it difficult for each of us to find a special partner and to lead a fulfilling life. Aunt Ann is very concerned about this lack of opportunity for people, and tries to use the internet and a well-thought-out, high technology verifying system to create a safe, rich, and easy to use online environment for people to meet each other and build connections. She wishes members can use this platform to develop a good Yin-Yuen (marriage) and lead a Yuen-Man (satisfactory) home life. She therefore named this site “Yuen-Man”( 緣滿) in Chinese and “Heart at Home” in English.
